The new Newstead Live Studio Award competition is for under 25 year olds with connections to Central Victoria. Three acts will be selected to perform on the Live ‘n’ Local Stage, in front of a panel of judges. The winners will receive a full day’s recording session, worth over $500, at Sound Recordings in Campbells Creek. Applications are now open and close on 16 September. Volunteers are the backbone of festivals like Newstead Live. There are a range of tasks needed, including door attendants, stage managers, cleaners, MC's and reception staff. For a total of about 8 hours volunteering over the duration of the festival, you will earn yourself a free weekend ticket.
